Crispy Coconut Rolls with Roasted Black Sesame Seeds – Aldi Review

Crispy Coconut Rolls

Here at Aisle of Shame, we’re always looking out for the newest Aldi Finds. While browsing the aisles this week we noticed new Coconut Rolls in the snack section near the cookies and chocolate (the location may vary by store).

The Aldi Ad had Benton’s Crispy Coconut Rolls coming to stores on August 7th, 2019 — So the good news is that some stores are stocking them early! BTW Benton’s is a private label Aldi Brand.

Why is this good news? Because Aldi’s Coconut Rolls are INCREDIBLE!!

Each 5oz bag is priced at $3.99 (again, this could vary by location) and there are four 8-10 piece servings per package.

These were the first coconut rolls we’ve ever tried and now we’re seriously in love. We have no idea how long Bentons’s coconut rolls will stick around, but hopefully, it’s long enough to stock up!

The Aldi Coconut Rolls are a product of Thailand and the ingredients list is minimal.

Crispy Coconut Rolls Ingredients

Coconut Rolls from Aldi only contain coconut milk, tapioca flour, sugar, egg, water, salt and black sesame seeds.

As the coconut snack contains eggs, that means they are vegetarian but not vegan. From what I can tell, crispy coconut rolls are gluten-free.

The flavor of the coconut rolls is slightly sweet with a creamy coconut flavor (not artificial tasting as there are no artificial colors or flavors). The crispiness of the rolls is light, making them easy to snack on…and seriously addicting.

We expected the rolls to be a little bigger, but honestly, the size doesn’t matter once you start snacking.

Also, the photo of the coconut rolls on the bag shows more sesame seeds than the actual product.

Overall, we can’t recommend Crispy Coconut Rolls enough if you’re a coconut-lover — a definite Aldi BUY!
