Walmart Pharmacy Hours (+ How To Place Orders After Hours)

Walmart Pharmacy hours vary by location. However, most Walmart pharmacies open at 9 AM and close at 7 PM all week long.

The best way to find out exactly when your local Walmart Pharmacy opens and closes is to look up the hours online or call the pharmacy directly. You can use this Walmart store locator tool to find your nearest Walmart Pharmacy. The store listing should show the main store hours, but you may need to call the store to find out if the pharmacy hours differ.

That said, the easiest way to find out the hours of the Walmart Pharmacy nearest you is to simply type “Walmart Pharmacy” into the Google search bar on your phone or computer. If you have location services turned on, Google will show you the top three results, which will include store hours and location information.

How To Get Prescriptions Filled After Hours

If you need to submit a prescription request after the Walmart Pharmacy has closed or before it opens in the morning, you have a couple different options.

Order Prescriptions Through the Walmart App

First, you can submit a Walmart Pharmacy curbside pickup order through the Walmart app.

While your order will not be ready for pickup until the following morning (when the Pharmacy opens), this can expedite the process and ensure that you’ll be able to get your prescription as soon as possible.

Check out this YouTube video provided by Walmart to learn all about how to use Walmart Rx Curbside Pickup. Be aware that you must have a Walmart account and have the Walmart app downloaded onto your phone to use this service. Walmart Rx Curbside Pickup only works for prescription refill requests on prescriptions that have been filled at Walmart previously.

Sign Up for the Walmart Mail-Order Pharmacy

The other primary way to submit a prescription request to the Walmart Pharmacy after hours is to sign up for a Walmart Mail-Order Pharmacy account.

Once you have one of these accounts, your healthcare provider can send prescriptions to Walmart directly at any time of the day or night, though your prescriptions will not be ready to pick up until the pharmacy opens the following day.

If you are a Walmart Mail-Order Pharmacy customer simply needing to request a prescription refill, you can do so by calling 1-800-273-3455 (1-800-2-REFILL). Unfortunately, the Walmart Mail-Order Pharmacy refill line is only staffed between 7AM and 7PM Monday through Friday, and 8AM and 4PM on the weekends.
