First launched in 2021, Costco Next has been called an “open secret” for Costco members.
Largely unknown due to being such a new program, Costco Next is an underutilized benefit of being a Costco member (especially if you do a lot of online shopping).
But what exactly is Costco Next? Keep reading to find out.
How Costco Next Works
Costco Next is an exclusive online portal through which active Costco members can access deals and offers from a wide range of suppliers that partner with Costco.
When shopping through Costco Next, you can purchase products directly from a Costco Next supplier offering special “Members Only Values.” According to Costco, “this innovative approach helps [them] achieve [the] goal of bringing a broader selection of goods to […] members, while increasing the value of [a] Costco membership.”
When you visit the Costco Next website, you’ll find dozens of deals and offers from a wide range of suppliers. Each offer applies exclusively to online shoppers and will feature a “Shop Now” link.
When you click on one of these links, you will be taken away from Costco’s website and rerouted to the supplier. While the deals and offers you access are available exclusively to Costco members, the purchasing process happens independently of Costco Wholesale.

When you click on the “Shop Now” link, you will be taken to a page that looks like this…
There, you will need to enter your name and membership number before clicking the blue button to the right. Once you’ve done that, you will be taken to the Travelpro website where you can gain access to exclusive deals on luggage, bags, backpacks, and more.
Basically, Costco Next is a secret doorway that only Costco members are allowed to walk through. Once you walk through the door, you’ll get access to exclusive deals that only Costco members get access to. Pretty cool, right?
Purchases made through Costco Next suppliers cannot be returned to Costco. Instead, all aspects of shipping, customer service, and returns are handled directly through the supplier.

The major benefit of shopping with Costco Next is that you can access exclusive deals and discounts on a wide variety of high price tag items.
