If you walked into TJ’s this week and felt like the freezer aisle looked unfamiliar, that’s because a wave of May launches just landed — and a few of them are already getting written up by Tasting Table, Sporked, and the louder corners of r/traderjoes.
I went and grabbed seven of them. Here’s what’s actually worth your $4–6 this weekend, what to skip, and what to grab right now before it inevitably sells out (looking at you, Earl Grey Blondies).

1. Earl Grey Blondie Bars — $4.49

The crossover hit of the month. Both Tasting Table and Sporked called this one out, and after one bite I get it: a chewy, brown-buttery blondie with actual Earl Grey tea folded through the dough. The bergamot doesn’t punch you in the face — it’s whisper-quiet, more “fancy bakery” than “tea-flavored cookie.” A four-pack runs about $4.49 and they’re shelf-stable. Reheat ten seconds in the microwave and serve with cold coffee.
Verdict: Buy two. One for now, one for when they sell out.
2. Gözlemes — $5.49
Turkish-style stuffed flatbreads (think savory crepe meets quesadilla) in spinach-feta and cheese varieties. They live in the freezer and crisp up in a skillet in about five minutes. The pastry shatters the right way, the filling stays molten, and at $5.49 for a 2-pack they’re genuinely cheap weeknight protein. Mother’s Day brunch tip: cut into wedges and serve with a yogurt-dill drizzle.
3. Sugar Cookie Dough Flowers — $4.99

Frozen pre-portioned cookie dough shaped like little flower bouquets. Bake from frozen, ice with the included pink glaze, done. They’re aimed dead-center at Mother’s Day and they hit. The dough itself is buttery-vanilla, slightly underbaked at the recommended time (which I personally consider a feature). 12 cookies per box.
4. Strawberry Brioche-Style Liège Waffles — $3.99

Sticky, sugar-pearled Belgian waffles with a strawberry compote ribbon baked in. Microwave 25 seconds and they crisp at the edges while the strawberry pocket stays soft. A solid Sunday-morning grab — assemble with whipped cream and a drizzle of TJ’s Whipped Cream Cheese with Honey for an instant brunch plate.
5. Honey Butter Cashews — $3.99

The Korean honey-butter trend, finally bagged. Sweet and salty, a little sticky, dangerous around a glass of wine. These are the snack equivalent of a season finale — once you start, the bag is gone. Tasting Table flagged these as one to grab immediately and I won’t argue.
6. Sparkling Lychee Juice Beverage — $3.49

Effervescent, floral, barely sweet — closer to a Topo Chico with a hint of lychee than a juice. Pour over ice with a lime wedge and you’ve got a gorgeous no-alcohol mocktail for tomorrow’s brunch. Or top with TJ’s prosecco for a tropical mimosa upgrade. Pro move: the bottle photographs beautifully on a brunch table.
7. Raspberry Yogurt Candy Clusters — $3.49

Picture freeze-dried raspberry chunks coated in white chocolate and yogurt — chewy, tart, slightly chalky in the best way. Sporked called these out as a sleeper pick and they’re already in heavy circulation on TJ TikTok. Tossed over a yogurt parfait, they look fancy. Eaten by the handful, they disappear fast.
What I’d skip (this round)
A few items I tried this week didn’t earn the cart:
- BBQ Flavored Potato Chips — fine, but no better than the regular Kettle Cooked. Pass.
- Sweet & Sour Gummy Worms — overpriced for what’s basically a Haribo tribute. Skip.

If you’re only grabbing three: Earl Grey Blondie Bars + Gözlemes + Sugar Cookie Dough Flowers is your trio. That’s a $14 haul that covers Mother’s Day brunch, weeknight dinner, and your 4pm coffee craving — all of it brand-new this month, all of it worth the trip.
