10 Trader Joe’s Fan Favorites That Just Came Back to Shelves

Trader Joe’s quietly brings back beloved discontinued items every spring, and the May 2026 shelf reset is one of the best in years. We walked the store this week and tracked down ten favorites that disappeared in 2024 (some earlier) and are now sitting back on shelves — including a fusion item that broke the internet when it left.

If you’ve been waiting for any of these, today’s the day to grab them. Some won’t stay long.

1. Cheeseburger Burrito

Cheeseburger Burrito

The fusion product that gone-too-soon energy was built for. Pulled from shelves in 2024 and back as of this week, the Cheeseburger Burrito wraps beef crumble, sharp cheddar, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, diced tomato and onion in a soft tortilla. Refrigerated section, ready to heat. The yellow mustard is the signature note that makes this work where every other “cheeseburger pizza” or “cheeseburger taco” doesn’t.

Price: $4.99 (refrigerated)

2. Mango Sticky Rice

Mango Sticky Rice

The frozen dessert that turned TJ into a Thai-cuisine destination. Sweet coconut sticky rice with sliced mango on top, microwave for 90 seconds. Returning every spring is now an event for fans.

Price: $4.49 (frozen)

3. Cookie Butter Cheesecake Mini Bites

The seasonal cheesecake bites with a speculoos crust and cookie butter swirl. Last spotted in 2024, back this month in the dessert freezer. Twelve bites per box, $4.99.

Price: $4.99 (frozen)

4. Vegan Kale Pesto Pizza

Cult favorite among the plant-based crowd. Cauliflower-and-kale crust topped with kale pesto and dairy-free mozzarella. Discontinued briefly in late 2024, now back in the frozen pizza wall.

Price: $5.99 (frozen)

5. Triple Ginger Snaps

Triple Ginger Snaps

The crunchy ginger cookies with three forms of ginger (fresh, crystallized, powdered). They vanished for most of 2025 and are back as of this week. Best dunked in coffee or crumbled over vanilla ice cream.

Price: $3.49

6. Roasted Plantain Chips

Salty-sweet plantain chips that crunch like the best chip aisle item nobody can replicate. Out of stock most of 2025 due to a sourcing issue. Now back, full bags, regular shelf spot.

Price: $2.99

7. Speculoos Cookie Butter Ice Cream

Speculoos Cookie Butter Ice Cream

A pint of vanilla ice cream swirled with cookie butter and cookie crumbles. The kind of freezer find that becomes a household standing order. Returns are notoriously brief — grab while you can.

Price: $4.99 (frozen)

8. Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce

The mustard-based, vinegar-forward South Carolina barbecue sauce that’s perfect on pulled pork and grilled chicken. Discontinued briefly during a recipe reformulation. The new version is closer to the original than people expected.

Price: $3.49

9. Reduced Guilt Mac and Cheese

Microwave mac with a lighter cheese sauce — actually decent, not chalky. Pulled in summer 2024 for unknown reasons, back this month. Refrigerated section, 7-minute prep.

Price: $3.99 (refrigerated)

10. Mini Tres Leches Cake

The single-serve tres leches cake that became a TJ Instagram darling. Off shelves since late 2024, back as a 4-pack with the milk syrup separate so the cake doesn’t get soggy. Best dessert under $5 in the store.

Price: $4.99 (refrigerated)

The grab strategy

These returning items are usually grouped together at the start of the seasonal reset, then dispersed as the weeks go on. If you can only grab three, prioritize: Cheeseburger Burrito, Cookie Butter Cheesecake Bites, and Mango Sticky Rice. Two of these have already sold out in the first 48 hours at certain stores.
